Tanabata (star festival)

Tanabata:七夕(star festival) is on 7th of July. It is the one of the most popular festivals in Japan. There is a story behind this festival: there are two lovers, Orihime:織り姫(Vega) and Hikoboshi: 彦星(Altair) who are separated by the milky way and are only allowed to meet each other once a year! So if you look up at the stars on 7th of July, you would be able to see Vega and Altair together. Basing on this story, we celebrate their meeting by writing our wishes on slips of paper and hang them on bamboo branches. So join us and celebrate Tanabata by writing one your wishes and make it come true! We display the bamboo tree for a week!
